Princeton was established in 1962 as a manufacturing site for the radio business.  The original plant was expanded multiple times until the radio business was sent to the pacific rim.  In 1985, the decision was made to expand the facility and convert it into an aftermarket exhaust distribution and returns processing center.  The distribution center operations and several of the staff were moved from Indianapolis.  After this last major expansion, Arvin acquired the Maremont Exhaust company in 1986; and the decision was made to consolidate the aftermarket exhaust business into the Maremont business unit in Loudon, TN.

The plant and site was eventually sold and Bremner Food Group began producing cookies and crackers in Princeton.  Bremner was still active at the site in 2014.
