The Greenwood plant began as part of Indianapolis Pump and Tube in 1923 as the sole manufacturing site for the company. Over the course of the next 70+ years, the plant continued operations at the original site; and for a short time operated another facility at Endress Place a few miles south of the main plant. The main plant was pretty well as large as it could get since the town had grown around it on all sides. At the time of its closure, the plant primarily manufactured tubular parts and also slit coiled steel for other Arvin sites.
*** We invite any and all past employees of Greenwood to send us photos, stories, and historical facts about Greenwood's history with the company ***
